Venue
The Congress will be held at Champagne Sports Resort in the Central Drakensberg,
Kwa-Zulu Natal. Visit www.champagnesportsresort.com/ for more information.
Security
We urge delegates to take care of their personal possessions and exhibitors to
be particularly aware during the periods of exhibition build-up and breakdown.
Lockup storage available. Name badges must be displayed at all times for security
reasons.
Teas & Lunches
Daily refreshments will be served throughout the conference. These costs are
included in the registration fee.
CPD Accreditation
Daily Scanning Service Available. This year’s CPD points logging service is
sponsored by ??? using the latest scanning technology. Name tags will include
a barcode so that delegates can go to one of the many scanning stations during
the congress to have their details collected and uploaded to the various society
websites for future reference. Delegates must check in daily with the ??? stand to
register for points.
Admission Badge/Accreditation
Delegates are required to display their Congress badge at all times during the
academic sessions, in the exhibition area and when attending social functions.
Only participants or accompanying persons wearing a Congress badge will be
admitted. No exceptions to this rule will be made.
Language
The official language of the Congress will be English. No simultaneous translations
will be provided.
Registration and Information / Travel Desk
This service will be situated in the Foyer and will open from 12h00 on Wednesday
13 October and daily from 07h00 for the duration of the Congress. Guests at
leisure for Wednesday evening. Please Note: Delegates responsible for own
dinner arrangements and cost for this evening.
Registration Fees
Fees include VAT. The registration fee for delegates includes:

• CCSSA Congress Dinner (Saturday 16 October)

Cancellations and Refunds
Notification of cancellation and refund requests must be submitted to the Congress
Office in writing by ???. No refunds will be given for cancellations received
after this date. Please clearly state full name and banking details – refunds will
be deposited directly into a bank account. All refunds will be made directly after
the congress. Note: We advise all delegates to keep copies of their Registration
Form and proof of payment, whether by credit card, electronic or bank transfer, or
cheque and to bring copies to the Congress.
Registration Form
Online registration available at www.criticalcare.org.za. To register for the
congress, please complete the enclosed Registration Form by writing clearly in
block capitals, and fax it, together with proof of payment of the registration fee,
to +27 (0)31 765 5195. Please note that your registration will only be confirmed
when proof of payment has been received.

From Johannesburg
Follow the N3 from JHB towards Durban, this will take you past Harrismith, through
the Van Reenen’s Pass and to the Tugela Toll Plaza.
- Continue through the plaza, then exit onto road no. 230 / R616 Bergville,
at the top turn left towards Ladysmith
- Travel for approximately 5 minutes then turn right onto the R600 Winterton
- Travel for approximately 30 km until you get to a t-junction then turn left
over the bridge, take the first turn to your right onto the R600 Central
Drakensberg (you will cross a railway line)
- Travel for approximately 30 km – just after you passed Champagne Sports
Resort on your left hand side you will see a Drakensberg Sun signboard,
take this turning to your right, this road will lead you directly to the hotel.
From Durban
Follow the N3 from Durban towards JHB, and continue past the Mooi River Toll
Plaza and past the Mooi River North Turnoff.
- Approximately 36km after the Mooi River Toll plaza you will get to the
Estcourt (North) / Giants Castle Turnoff. (Sign Board 179)
- Take this turn to the left, at the top by a stop street turn left again, and
continue straight through Loskop for about 31km, where you will reach
a signboard saying (R600) Drakensberg World Heritage Site (Central) – On
your left there will be a thatched building called “Thokozisa” (if you go onto
gravel road – you have missed the turn)
- Turn left and continue straight for approximately 12km, past the Champagne
Sports until you see the signboard for Drakensberg Sun, turn right.
